PE is polyethylene (plastic wrap material).When combusting, PE almost no smoke. much lighter than the PVC, flammable, the formula is (-CH2-CH2-),PE glove are sensitive to light.
PVC is polyvinyl chloride (some plastic material) .which contains chlorine, combusting with large smoke, And its components has a certain degree of flame retardancy, its formula is (-CH2-CHCl-).when under the sun with long time.its surface always broke.
So PE can contact with food, but PVC is best not to.
Both of them are less anti-heat, especially PE, when it touch the fire.it melts soon.
